Seven o’clock is aperitivo time in Turin: try the bars around Piazza Vittoria Veneto and Piazza Savoia, or those in the old Roman quarter near Via Sant’Agostino. During the summer, the club scene centres on the Murazzi, along the Po. Hub of the avant-garde music scene is Docks Dora, the former industrial area around Via Valprato.
Bars: For aperitifs try Pastis, piazza Emanuele Filiberto, Tre Galli, Via Sant’Agostino 25 or Caffe Elena, Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Also worth trying are Barbaru, Via San Dalmazzo 8/A, KM 5, Via San Domenico 14 and Shore, Piazza Emanuele Filiberto.
Clubs: The most well established club is Hiroshima Mon Amour, Via Bossoli 83, a complex with Friday and Saturday club nights. Café Blue, Via Valprato and Alcatraz and The Beach, both on Via Murazzi, are also worth checking out.
Live Music: For Italian and international live bands, try Hiroshima Mon Amour, Via Bossoli 83. For live blues and jazz, make for Café Procope, Via Juvarra or Magazzino di Gilgamesh, Piazza Moncenisio.
