Description
The Vello d'Oro is a functional 3-star hotel in the heart of the historic town centre of Taormina.

The hotel benefits from views over the sea and the Mount Aetna, and is situated in the shopping area of the city.

Hotel information
The hotel consists of 5 floors leading to the centre.The former site of the 'Antica Scuola di Maestri Ceramisti', the building was transformed into a hotel at the end of the 1950's.

The hotel still retains its original features and is an ideal location for people who like night-life. There is also a restaurant on the first floor for breakfast and dinner.


Travel information
By Car:
- Take the A18 motorway and exit at Taormina.
- Keep driving for 6 km in the direction of the centre of Taormina (Taormina centro) up to the Lumbi car park.
- Take the road on the left of the car park, which goes through the 'Montetauro' tunnel, and follow it up to Porta Catania.
- Take Via Fazzello on the left of the arch, follow it for 500 metres; the hotel Vello d'Oro will be on your right-hand side.

By Train:
The nearest railway station is Taormina-Giardini Naxos; from here take a taxi for about 2.5 km.

By Plane:
The nearest airport is International Airport of Catania Fontanarossa. From here you can get a taxi, take a bus or rent a car.
